Major General (ret.) Yoav Har Even began his first day today, January 17th, 2016, as CEO of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd.

Har Even (49 years old), is married with 3 children. He served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 31 years in various positions, including as commander of a reserve division, Ground Forces Chief of Staff, and in his last position as Head of the IDF's Operations Branch.

Har Even holds a B.A in Economics and Political Science and an M.A (with distinction) from the University of Tel Aviv. He is replacing VADM (ret.) Yedidia Yaari, who served as Rafael's CEO for more than 10 years.

Yitzhak Gat, Chairman of Rafael's Board of Directors said he is certain of Har Even's ability to lead Rafael through future challenges in Israel and around the world and to reach the company's goals, for the benefit of Israel and that of the organization.

Gat wished to thank VADM (ret.) Yaari for his years of service and contribution to Rafael, and for his leadership in helping Rafael reach its impressive technological and operational achievements, which cemented its growth, robustness and leadership in Israel and around the world.

Maj. Gen. (ret.) Har Even thanked the Chairman and the Board for their choice and their trust, and said he felt proud and privileged to join a company like Rafael — a major pillar in Israel's security and economy, which possesses an extraordinary human resource, its true force multiplier.

Har Even joined in thanking the outgoing CEO for the work he has done for Rafael for many years.
